Investigators Wanted!

A CALL FOR  INVESTIGATORS

Christmas is always a busy time for ghostly activity, and this season is no exception! We have a special call right now, looking for new investigators to help  examine the unusually high levels of ghostly activity on Amelia Island, Florida. Our investigation will take place from December 7th – 9th at the Dickens On Centre Festival.

What does a ghost need at Christmastime? That is what we need your help to discover, so that we can bring peace to these wayward spirits this holiday season.

How to Get Involved

1. Find an Open Case

The Ghost Society has two “Case Boards,” where we ask for help finding and assisting local ghosts. These are located in the Tinker-Seeker-StoryWeaver-Society, on the second floor of the Book Loft, and on the patio outside the Ghost Club.

Read the information on the board. Pick a case, and start investigating!

2. Follow the Clues

Ghosts often communicate in subtle ways: through the objects that they leave behind; through hidden messages; and through ghostly recordings called Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP). If you pay close attention to the text and images that you find, the ghosts will tell you where to go, and what to do when you get there.

3. Locate Our Spectral-Observation Stations & Scan the Code!

ghost_society_main_pageLook for QR codes, which will give you special access to any ghostly messages that have been captured at that location.

To scan these codes, you may need to download a QR code reader on your phone. We recommend the Lightning QR Scanner (Android) or the QR Reader for iPhone (iPhone), as simple, free options. Once installed, you will simply open the app, and use your phone’s camera to scan each code.

Try it now, using the QR code on this page.

4. Share Your Stories and Connect with Other Investigators:

danaIf you ever feel stumped by a case, you can always ask other investigators for advice.  You may also seek out Dana: our Ghost Society representative at Dickens After Dark, who can usually be found at the Tinker-Seeker-StoryWeaver Society.
